Hanscan has developed and patented a mechanism to detect spoofing attempts of our fingerprint sensors. It captures data from the cutaneous and subcutaneous tissue of the finger using several features of the electromagnetic field. Aside from this data and through infrared light, absorption levels of the hemoglobin in the blood are measured creating robust liveness qualities. These life detection mechanisms are capable of significantly increasing the risk that an imposter will be detected.
