About us
Based in the Netherlands and internationally influenced, Hanscan ID Management is a privately owned authentication technology firm with development operations in Madrid, Spain. Since 2006, it has been developing biometric and authentication management technology designed to address the growing global problems facing security, privacy and identity theft.
Hanscan was created as an initiative of a noted Dutch engineer and serial entrepreneur. While purchasing a biometric access controls system at a business in Spain, he realized there remained substantial weaknesses with biometric solutions in a market where demand for new, sophisticated solutions was high and fulfillment gaps were wide.
Believing he could create new technology better suited to the market's needs, he formed a development team of thirty mathematicians and scientists lead by former a European Space Agency engineer. With a PhD in Mathematics and sector specific thesis (encryption algorithms applied to security), the engineer and his team, in close collaboration with the research team of Algebra and Mathematical Analysis Department of the University of Almeria, developed the next generation of IT security solutions which would see market readiness in the summer of 2011. Hanscan's innovative new technology is called Biocryptology®. All of Hanscan’s associated products are secured with this patented breakthrough.
